Default power steering pump help..

when replacing the power steering pump do you have to bleed the power steering fluid or just fill it up and check it after you take it for a spin?

All I've ever done is filled up the resevoir, take it for a spin, top it back off, and check for a few days afterwords, the way the rack is made it should be self-evacuating as far as air removal.

It also helps to turn the stering wheel from stop to stop while parked and then fill it up.
