Default Power Steering Q's

first off, i love my power steering at speeds below 60mph, so i don't want to loose it entirely

but.....

i do a lot of highway driving, and that power steering can be really annoying at highspeeds (slight bumps can cause the car to move suddenly) as well as on windy days.

i was wondering if there was anyway to "turn-off" my powersteering at highspeeds, i know they make electric PS pumps, could i take out my belt drive pump and install an electric one with an on/off switch?

If yu really wanted to, you could probably pull it off with some custom hoses. I'm suprised you don't have speed sensitive power steering, I know in all Integras and most other Hondas the power assist tapers off to zero by 40mph.
