idle problem...need help

Default idle problem...need help

I have a 93 integea and it idles really low for where it sounds like it wants to shut off.. other then that the car runs great. ..I checked for vaccuum leaks and there are none...I replaced idle control valve and still didn't help. ..all routine maintance is done yet still idles low like at 200-300 rpms but never shuts off...plz help. .. anything is worth a shot

Check your ignition timing. If your ignition advance is retarded, it will cause your idle to be lower. If your timing is set at 16 BTDC, then uplug your IACV and adjust the idle stop screw out unitl you are idling around 450 rpm, then plug it back in. Disconnect the battery and reconnect to clear the check engine light codes and retest..
