Default Ls/vtec=gsr?

I've been doing searches on LS/VTEC lately and have gathered some info, but haven't had this question answered. If I built an LS/VTEC motor and a GSR motor with the same parts, would they be equal engines? Are the blocks identical?

b18c1 block has oil squirters for each cylinder. installing those into a b18a/b block would seem like a bitch. and a b18c1 block has a block girdle. of course the cranks/rods would be different.

I knew Snoopy would help me out! So that means that the GSR motor would be slightly better than the LS/VTEC?

of course the gsr would be better than the lsvtec. you wont have the reliability issues with the b18c1 as you would with an lsvtec. but i have seen some impressive dyno sheets of "stock" lsvtec's.

I guess by better, I meant stronger. Does the LS block yield higher compression or anything?

stock form the ls block has lower compression than a gsr block. with an lsvtec, it would depend on what head you use if using stock block internals.

LS block, B18C1 head, CTR cams, CTR pistons, GSR crank

VS

GSR block, crank and head, CTR cams/pistons

= same power?
