Default day 1 of swap

Well...today we finally did it. We prepped the motor and took it out to my dads house, and dropped my b16a2 into my 93 civic ex. Everything went incredibly smooth for my first swap. We had all the hoses(almost), and wires to line up, and had enough screws and bolts for everything. Even had some extras we don't know where they came from. Anywho, after about 6 hours, we got it to start up. It got a check engine light, but we expected that. The weird part was it was idling like up to 2k then back to 1k. We fiogured it was the temperature making it do that. It was extremely hot for being on idling for 10 minutes. We took out the thermostat, because the coolant in the radiator wasn't going anywhere...or seemed so. So we took out the thermostat, and it idled fine for about 4 minutes, but then started up with the high reving again. We assumed we fixed it, but it was still idling funny beacuse of the exhaust 02 sensor. So, all the remaining parts I need to buy are:

Valve Cover gasket(settled wrong, and gears ate it)
Donut Gasket for exhaust (ran off header today)
hydarulic clutch hose
02 sensor for exhaust
new thermostat

For that being the only things I still need, in my opinion it went very well. Just some small things to take care of, and I got my swap!

Congrats man!

Out of curiousity, where did you get your info to run the correct wires? (i.e. Evap Purge, IAB...) I'm having a he|| of a time right now.... any info you can give me would help out a lot!!

I'm swapping a B18C1 into a '95 DX so we have all the same stuff except you had VTEC already (I ran that so it's no big deal) and I have the secondary intake which I'll have to figure out.

Thanks and congrats again man!!

Well, as far as the wires go. Honestly, we guessed, and we knew one or two connectors would not be used. I still need to wire the knock sensor to ecu. But, when i was researching stuff for my swap, one of the best sources for info on what you need, and info on wiring and ecus would have to be

http://tech.hybridgarage.com/

They have most of what you might be looking for, probably not everything, but what you can't find out from them, just buy a helms manual for the gs-r. That might help more....although, I am not 100% sure, its worth a shot.

Ya, I've been using that site a lot. Thanks though.

I've pretty much got everything figured out except for the Evap Solenoid. You obviously got that one in. What color was it and where did you run it from/to???

Thanks man.

Evap is not necessary if I remember correctly. Two wires off by themselves correct?
