headwork time?

Default headwork time?

(this is for a h22a4 .... 98 prelude)

i got my bullfrog head, cams, intake manifold, and throttle body in on monday. they started working on it on tues. how long do you think it would take to take out thsoe parts and put in the other?

it's friday, and once again i get a "tomarrow it will be done" from the owner. :-/ does it typically take this long or am i just impatient? havent had my car in 3 months :-/

You mean at Bullfrog/Gude? They're notorious for horrible service and long delays.

i was talking about the shop that is puting it in. bullfrog did take some time, but not too bad.

It doesn't take that long it's just that they probably have other customers that they have to take care of. That's a problem with having a shop do the work.

Why not do the work yourself? Saves lots of money, and you do it at your own pace. Head work is easy. Took me 2 hours or so to install new valve springs, cam/rockers, and install the head on the block.

I started tearing down my engine this weekend. Couldn't spend a whole lot of time on it but I got all the vacuum tubes off, alternator, p/s pump, heat shield, and fuel lines off. I blew a head gasket, so I will be removing the head, to take it to the machine shop. I am enjoying myself, and sticking to what the Helm says :thumbup:
