Default Gsr aem cai in eg w/b16a?

I have a 94 cx hatch with a 1st gen b16a. The intake that is in there is a piece of crap. I have an old aem cold air from my 99 gsr. I once read an article that showed how to make the intake fit in a hatch with a gsr swap. You had to cut a few places and it went down through the hole and the filter sat behind the front bumper. I wondered if anyone has done this with a b16? I might go try to see if I can figure out how to make it werk but it would be good to see if anyone else has done it first.

That old write up on how to cut up an AEM CAI was for an older version they don't sell anymore. The problem with your setup is the throttle body will be to high for a GS-R AEM, but you might be able to make it work. I'd suggest you pickup a '99+ Si or '94+ Del Sol VTEC AEM CAI that will fit properly and use the stock resonator hole rather than making that 90 degree bend to get under the frame rail.
