Can anyone tell me how difficult it would be to install a basic turbo kit into my 96 Civic Ex? Keeping in mind I am noobish to the engine. The only thing I've done was take out the stock intake and installed an Injen SRI.

I understand the basic theory, but I'm not sure about setting up the oil reroutes

I insatlled a greedy turbo kit on a 00' Civic Si and to be honest, its not that difficult at all. Included in the kit is a vary well detailed installation guide that anyone could understand. So all you really need are some basic tools, for ex: some sockets, end wrenches, and a couple of screwdrivers, some common sense and your good to go. So in other words, no worries.

 

I don't know why I am really starting to think turbo. It just sounds like it is a good upgrade. I've been getting some decent deals like $1850 shipped.

 

Is that for the full kit with intercooler? But either way, as long as it comes with most the parts, thats a good price.

 

You can probably do better on the price. The only weird/hard part might be drilling the oil pan for ya, everything else will be a fun learning experience, find a buddy...
