im just a noob at turbos and i want to start gathering parts for my 96 del sol so i can add one but its going to take a while so i was just wondering what are some of the cars i can get a nice tubo, injectors etc

i went to the junk yard today and found a Colt with a !!!!mitubishi DOHC TURBO ENGINE!!! Has any one seen that before ?? Was it fast???
I also found a Couple of LeBarons with freely spining turbos
would any of these work thanks:thumbup:

get the one off of the colt...i had one of those cars and it woud scream..........

That colt probably has the engine out of an Eagle Talon TSI.. it's a fairly easy swap from what I hear. I raced against one of those and yes.... they're really fast in a straight line but are horrible in the corners. That turbo is a 14G or T25 I believe and would work good on your sol. Check out www.homemadeturbo.com to see how you'd go about installing that snail in your car.

well i just went to see the turbo and took the intake side off and that turbo is a pos its stuck and i couldent spin it not even with a screw driver well well so will the other from the lebaron work or do i have to get one from a volvo???? sorry im a turbo noob:thumbup:

the lebaron is a TE04H... you would need to get an adapter plate MADE for it... like make a gasket for someone to make the plate, i have that turbo and was going to use it too.. just go on www.homemadeturbo.com and in the 4sale forum ask the guy there. i was going to do this but got another turbo...my turbo shaft spins freely if you want to buy it from me. also the HMT site on the 4 sale has "adapter plates" they have t25, t3's and rhb5 turbo adapter plates, i'd look for those turbos for easier access to getting the project done
