what is the fastest sohc stock sleeve?
i was just wondering what the fast sohc car was. becase i am trying to build one and want to know what it can do. Mine has piston and rods with a a t3/t4 turbo and it only made 216 hp on 8 pounds of boost. i ran a 13.4 at 101 mph in salt lake city, ut and i was wondering if that was a good time of if it was slow thanks.

your motor should handle more power then that. i would deffinitely get it dyno tuned though.
i have seen guys run high 12's with stock internals, a lsd, and slicks

there is a guy named cody in slc that ran 11's with stock sleeves. 420whp at 25psi on a d16y7, stock block, with rods and pistons, tuned by cortney of course.
whats your name and where in utah are you? Pm me. We have quite a large group of honda guys here in utah

11.31 @ 130mph was done by my friend in spfwd last year. Time is posted on urbanracer.com. He had a sohc ZC motor + 75 shot. stock sleeves I believe. Failure was bc of headgasket popping multiple times.

its a sohc zc, which is essentially a b15b7, which is worse that most d series, so I don't see why it wouldn't count

Full-Race's EG hatch that they built to run on the show called "Pink" ran 11.2@130. of course, the car wasnt built for reliability.. heres the link to the thread and a picture of the dyno chart:

if you want to continue with that engine, port+polish the head, and get a wider exhaust if you are runnning any of the stock peices its probably killing you making over twice the original power with a turbo trying to spool off the exhaust (but i'd cap it at 3", you can peice one together from kteller)
are you intercooled? you can definatly gain some power there
if you plan on pushing more boost i'd say open it back up, bore it out a little put in stronger sleeves.
if your rodbolts havent been upgraded already i'd think abbout that to along with a cam that runs slightly higher rpm's. you'll be able to take advantage of the boost better then
and he most important thing of all. a good dyno tune session. especially after any moderate to major addition
