on a drag strip the civic Si with the B16A2 would beat the base 5th gen lude.

Well, the 4th gen lude BASE came with an F22 engine making either 145 or 150 horsepower. The Si (H23) came with 160hp, and of course the VTEC edition (H22) came with either 190 or 195 or 200.

Civic Si comes 160hp stock.

Civic Si weighs probably 500lbs less.

You do the math.

rite do the math

you left something out though

ill give you a hint

its measure in ft/lbs

think about it

prelude 4th gen -156 ft/lb torque
civic si----132 ft/lb

civic si weight-2782 lbs
prelude 4th gen 2809(according to auto.consumerguide.com)

would the civic still win?

I'm confused, are you asking if a 4th gen Prelude Si can be a 4th gen Prelude?

And I just did the power to weight thing on another site. Prelude has the better ratio so it gets the nod as a Civic Si will never beat any VTEC lude with equal mods, condition and drivers.

this thread is pretty damn old, but i never got any responses, so ill reply.

the original question was a 4th gen prelude si (16o hp)vs. a civic si (16o hp)

the rest of the specs of those cars are in a previous msg in this post.
