Default GT or S2k

Is a 01' s2000 quicker in the quarter than a 94 Mustang GT coupe?
Thanks

0-60 = Mustang
Top end = S2000
Corners and fun driving = S2000
Fuel economy = S2000
Looks = S2000

I think the 5.0L from the 94 made like 230hp and 200tq, bhp, but I know I'm probably wrong.

94 GT made 215hp 285tq.

With a competent driver the S2000 should beat it in nearly every category.

thats correct
it's the 260 hp 99+ GTs that are closer to the S2000's class
in terms of handling the Honda wins hands down
i can walk all over a stock 94 Gt , so it shouldn't be compared to an S2000

Werd. Most GSR swapped Civics eat up GT's. They're not all that. :chuckles:

Based on the original poster's question and the fact that he is even considering a GT, I'm going to make the assumption that he is more interested in 1/4 mile performance than handling ability/interior/etc. If that is the case, yes... stock for stock the S2000 will stomp the GT.

But if you want to have a "drag car" DO NOT buy an S2000. The would be a complete misuse of the car, and pretty much stupid. You could dump five thousand dollars in the GT and it would be FAR beyond what the S2000 is realistically capable of without forced induction.

stock for the stock the s2k is probably a little "quicker" however if you are into cheap modability.......mustang is where its at.........headers, exhaust, and a 200 shot
