Default Me vs. Protege Speed6

I had thought that these things were pretty quick, like real close to a GSR. This guy in one pulls away from a light real fast, so I get up to him at the next light, and make sure we race. We start off from a roll in 1st, I'm waiting for him to go, he punches it then I hit it. He has 2 cars on me after I redline in 1st, I start to pull in 2nd getting on his tail, by mid 3rd (65 mph about) I have like 3 cars on him and slow down. He changes over into the 3rd lane and stays away from me after that haha. Not sure if it was auto, or if they make them in auto, but I walked him. I was so happy, anytime I beat a newer "sports car", especially when kids at my school drive their parents and act like its the shizit, I am delighted

:wtf: 3rd gear goes wayyyy past 65 in most cars, I barely get out of 3rd at the track and my trap speeds are around 95.

What is a "Speed6?" I'm not familiar with that one; or are you talking about the MazdaSpeed Protege'?

The B18C1's redline, at 8000 rpm, in third gear is at about 90 mph. 3rd gear in a GSR is a beast!

I have to know.... who exactly would consider a Mazda 6 a sports car?

That's funny. I can go over 100 mph in third. And that's slightly over 6000 RPM.
And even Hondas have no problem doing 85-90 in third.
