gauge bezel install
Well, you need to first install the black plastic piece that goes infront of the gauges. 2 screws hold that in. Then you need to undo the screws holding the gauges on and weasel the gauge pod out (it is very hard, at least in my car). Then you take the pod out, and you unscrew the last few screws. Perhaps someone with a 5th gen can give more specific info, as I've only done it for the 6th gen.
but to remove the plastic part of the dash to get the gauges is it just 2 screws? the ones above the gauges in the curved part? and then just pop the plastic part off? I'm having trouble getting that part off........just want to make sure I'm not missing any screws.

No on a 5th Gen there are two screws above the gauges, one behind the Cruise button, On behind the defrost button, and the hardest two are right below the Climate Control Area. For those you have to come in from the bottom. Let me know if you have any problems I have taken that whole area of my car apart a few times for different things.
