well...... i finaly got the energy to do what i wanted to my 97 gsrs... and i couldnt be happier... this diy did give me the right idea on how to go about it so kudos....
and i would have to say that duplicolor high heat engine paint is the best...... i used gloss black, and i think it looks sick.... and it apears to be like teflon, nothing sticks to it and it aint look like its gonna peel, ever.....
i also used the engine paint to paint my calipers, then painted over that with my dupli color car matching paint.... seems to be holding up just fine

The way to get paint to stay on is taking the time to prep it properly, then using an automotive quality paint. So many people want to rush the prep, so they can get the painting done, but prep is 90% of a quality job. By the way, good job on the wheels guys. I just had some curb-rashed '04 Accord wheels just given to me. I might look into painting them a dark color, and see what happens. What the heck...

i got my stock jdm itr rims n the hubcaps painted black, had them for several months now, but i gotta paint one rim again which is another jdm itr wheel i bought because one rim was heavily damaged from a huge pothole while i was at 60+mph ... was very dark and no lampposts but there were mad cars pulled over at the side, was wondering why they pulled over then i just figured out why, at least there were no accidents because that part of the road was just straight.
