Need help!Valve adjustment '96 2.5TL-Help

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Please help!

Anyone have instructions for a valve adjustment for a 96 2.5 TL?

The intake is .26 then it says + .02mmm
the ex is .30 +.02mm

What does this mean. Is the first number american then the next metric?

How do you line up the engine properly to make sure you are gapping correctly. I know you have to rotate the engine to the proper point.

Thanx
Regards

hey, well for me when i had to do it, i had to take driver side wheel off and there was a bolt in the crank pully had to turn it counterclockwise until cylinder 1 was tdc... theres a mark on the crank pulley and on the cam gears... now im not sure how it is becuase u have a different motor but i could find out if it was the right clylinder working on was by pulling on the rocker arms... it would be loose if the cylinder was on tdc... wat you really should do is get a manual for the car to work on and see how it is... also get a feeler gauge for this.. as it has the numbers on there... like the .026 and .30

also mine is .07-.09 on the exhaust if i remember but the gauge didnt have .07 or .09 had .08 so that might be the case with you too find the tolerence for it too...

you would be well advised to buy a service manual
