Anything's possible.... but for the price you'll pay in paint, and also taking into account that it could go horribly wrong... you may be better off paying the couple bucks for the coloured bulbs....

a company out of gilbert arizona makes a colored dye for headlights, they have a crap load of colored headlight but they are only tinted enough to keep u legal. If you want to further make your lights more of a color, i suggest you dye them. like mine on my Accord are a kickass red!!

hey im clueless in the lighting department.
id like some colored or possibly just a brighter bulb look outta my headlights for my newly aquired prelude.-i kind of like that bluish tint look.

but i really have no idea where to look or what to look for or whats the best kind or where to find any of thisout...so i think this would be a good time to ask.

thanks

If you have the money, a HID kit will be both brighter and more colorful than stock. Hit up Xenith Xenons on this site for a set. I got mine from him for $250 shipped.
