In my manual it states that I need the factory stereo, is this true ? If not how do you program the remotes

 

Yea you need the factory radio. (assuming you have a civic prolly ex) Go to soundtrack. they have a wiring harness that allows you to keep the stock radio and ur new current radio.. (u just gotta find a way to hide it behind the new radio if ur doing the install urself..)
