Yea, I guess this goes here seeing as how I'm gonna be doin' some of the stuff my self. I ws looking at rims. I just wanted to know how the offset works and what it is. So far what I got is these Koig white powdered 17"x7" 100mm 4 lugs +40mm offset. I know what everything means but the offset anyone care to tell lil' ol' me? Also I don't understand the tire sizing like 245 45 17.

 

tires. 245 width 45 profile [distance from outer circumference to the rim] 17 diameter. there is also a letter behind them like H Z V W they are different speed rating for tires.
