Default Novice needs information

I have a 91 accord lx and would like to know if engines older than 90 or newer than 93 will interchange with my existing engine.

I think the best swap for your car, is one out of a Prelude... I dont know much about Accords (or Preludes for that matter), but I think your current engine is an F20 variant of some kind (F22A I believe), which shares alot of things, such as mount locations with Prelude's H series engines... The good thing, is that the Hs have alot of torque, and power... The downside is, they can be generally expensive... As far other possible swaps, im not sure... Im sure theres someone here who has more knowledge in Accords that I do and can help u...

best swap for the 90-93 accord, h22, which comes in preludes.....but, if you're on a budget, go with the f22, which came in several models, 94-97 accords, acura cl's....the f22 is a 2.2 sohc vtec motor, which i think is rated at about 140hp at the flywheel..no custom mounts needed, it will bolt right up...for vtec to work, you can either get the ecu from a 94-97 accord or just use a summit rpm activated switch....
