Default Seatbelt Swap.

I know this thread could get some crazy responses, and of course when it come to something like a safety belt you don't want to be in a hurry.
I don't plan on doing this unless I'm sure it's gonna work right, and no one else should either. Ok

Has anyone who owns a well used car thought about swapping belts so as to enjoy the quickness of the retractor?
I was cleaning my interior up today, and it occurred to me that I never use my back belts, and they look extremely similar to my front ones, so I was thinking what if I could just swap them out.

Any thoughts are welcome...

So are you going to just swap the retractor or the whole belt assembly? I would find a stronger retractor annoying but I guess that is just me....

I am not sure if it will work but it is up to you to decide if you want to even screw with something like that. I personally wouldn't want to screw with something that could save my life for the cheap thrill of a stronger retractor.

No. What I actually want is a new seat belt because mine doesn't hardly retract at all. It will be fully withdrawn in the morning after it's been sitting all night, but other than that it just sort of slowly goes back in and kind of dangles there. That's annoying.

I was this close to getting Honda in Merietta to replace my belt, but I had to come down to Savannah (nearly two hundred miles away). So maybe I'll get it, maybe I wont. In roughly two weeks it wont matter becuase the car will be in storage for around 18 months while I'm in Iraq. And I can deal with that when I get back.

i took my car to honda, seatbelts have life time warranty, just say it dosen't retract enough and that its unsafe... they will give you a bull shit line like "well sir, your seatbelts are in one peice, they latch, they are not warrantied"... you say "well when my 16 year old son gets in a wreak and smashes into the windshield because your warrentied seatbealts are shit... you can count on my lawyer or my foot up you ass" then all the sudden i had and appointment to put new ones in...
