Default DIY throttle body, fuel injector and combustion chamber cleaning. has anyone done it?

i recently got the check engine light, took it to a acura dealer and was told it was covered under a warranty so they are replacing the egr valve at no cost. they said my egr ports are clogged and just started to explain a whole lot of stuff about harden carbon and some another stuff that causes it to clog. i told them to do whatever the warranty covers cause i knew before taking it to the dealer that the engine code was EGR insufficient flow and was told to just replace the EGR valve from the autozone mechanic that did the reading.

question is they said i needed to have the throttle body, fuel injector and combustion chamber cleaned and they would do it for $220 since its not covered under warranty. anyone ever done a DIY on any of these? or have links on doing it. btw its a 97 acura cl 3.0

thanks in advance

Yes. You need a bottle of seafoam, a half hour and some automotive knowledge. Do a search on v6p.net or online
