Default too much engine oil or transmission fluid?

Hi,

This is a general question.
What happens if you add too much transmission fluid or engine oil?
Does it decrease the efficiency of the engine? Does it induce more wear?

Thanks

Vani

may reduce efficiency, does not cause more wear, and will cause your gaskets to go faster. a little bit over the mark on the dip stick will not hurt that much but a lot will. just drain excess if needed
