Default lighting problems

when i first got my honda civic it had the stock stereo with keyless entry and when i changed the stereo my light from inside the car does not turn on any more and when i connected the old stereo back it worked again does any body know how to make the light from inside work when u change the stereo

i believe there is a green connector that you unplugged. you have two choices, you can either get the correct harness for your car, metra's 1720T, and hide the radio in the center console(you have to remove the center console and place the radio in the front of it almost behind the cup holds where the factory cd player option would go). if not, then on the green harness there are two wires that you can connect together to get the dome light working again. i forgot the colors, hopefully someone can post it but i hope this leads you some insight.

if u still dont haav it try looking for a wiring diagam for you car on the web and it will tell u what color wire is/goes to.
