Default Any diy to quiet down exhaust?

Any suggestions on how to quiet down the exhaust? I already have a resonator btw. I'm having trouble finding a silencer with 2.25 inch piping and 4 inch outlet so is there a diy for an exhaust silencer? I'm going to be paying a visit to the state referee soon. Thanks...

look around your shops to find one, I'm not sure about any diy...go to a welding/fabrication shop with any size silencer and maybe they could make one for you, might be a little more than a premanufact. one...look into it and let us know how it goes.

I might have a silencer for you, I'll have to measure the size of it. If it's big enough, I'll sell it you hella-cheap.

Thanks c_rouge measure it right away. You guys think that I could make a silencer similar to this design for a fake turbo sound except for the whistle of course:

Well...I don't really care if it sounds shitty as long as it's quiet. I just need it to pass the state referee and I'll take it off afterwards. I would even use that fake turbo thing if it lowers my exhaust decibel. h:

Now why would you want to do a thing like that?

Wow...back from the dead. I passed the state ref with 84db so I'm good now. I thought my exhaust would have been around 95 db.

I had to cut my straight pipe and add a second muffler after my second ticket for my exhaust being too loud. Helped regain some back pressure though, so it helped in performance also.

How loud is 95 db? I don't think my exhaust is quite that loud but I want to be sure. It gets kinda loud when I'm in higher rpms and faster speed. I have a glasspak and took out my resonator.

With a glasspack and absence of resonator, it may be close if not over 95 db. I believe they measure it at full throttle, so if you had to get a referee check it out, you should probably invest in a real exhaust system or go back to stock.
