The light came out of a '90s Ford Probe(I'm pretty sure; I just liked what I saw, assumed it would fit, forgot to look at the year). Anyways, I took the headliner out to make a hole to fit tight. The light fixture itself took a little trimming to fit flat. I also had to fabricate some clips to attach the light to the headliner, since the CRX won't have mounts on the inside of the roof. I then spliced into the existing dome wiring for power; now I have both lights. Put it all back together and voila! It works great. The dome light comes on when you open the door; can't stop that, but it's a good thing. And when inside, with the doors closed, all three lights(in the fixture) can be used independently.

Funny thing though. My '89 CRX is an Si, without a sliding sunroof. I guess the previous owner cut it off and put a solid one on to reduce the weight of the car . That's my guess anyway. The reason I mention this is because the headliners are shaped differently at the rearview mirror for the Si and the DX(or HF). This particular light fixture won't fit in an Si because of the sunroof; so I kinda lucked out with this fixture. But I'm sure a smaller fixture could be found for those who would consider installing something like this in their Si. In that event just look around some junkyards at different cars for something you like that would fit your particular interior and taste.

Oh, and since nobody has spoken up for having done this before, I'm going to claim dibs on being the first one to do this. :grinpimp:
