HELP w/ rear main seal

ON my H23 I have dropped the tranny and I see the leaking rear main seal. I tried to pry it out, but that was unsuccessful, so i was wondering if I just need to unbolt the cover or what?

hey did you ever figure out that rear main seal problem because im going through the same thing. i dont know how to get the bastard out..

I think you do need to remove the cover. On my GSR, there are two bolts holding it on. Then you should be able to remove it.
