Default brakes question...

Hey all, first post here...
anyway i was checking out an old forum here about how to change rear disc brake pads ...very good post i might add. Pretty straigt forward but what I was mainly concerned about was any additional tips for cars with ABS , mine is 92 accord ex, there was a comment about overflow from resevoir when the piston was twisted back in. Another comment mentioned that you have to bleed the brake line when you change the pads....Just hoping to get some tips to make it all go smoothly. Thanks

you don't have bleed the pads. changing the pads wont introduce air into the system.

Twisting the pistons in (to make room for the new pads) pushes brake fluid back towards the reservoir. So maybe it'll overflow. Depends on how full it was before you started.

You'll want to flush brakes, to get fresh fluid in all the lines every 2 years or so. Lots of people like to do that when they replace pads, just because it's a good reminder. Or just an excuse to do both jobs together.
