Default Adding power windows to EK hatch - anyone done it B4?

Hi everyone.

I'm seriously looking at adding power windows to my '99 Civic DX hatchback, but I don't want to replace my doors with Si units. I know it's gonna be a pain, but I'd much rather add the motors/wires/etc... to my existing doors.

Has anyone added power windows to an EK hatch without swapping doors? What's involved, and how big of a job is it really? What parts are needed? Any words of wisdom on things to watch out for when doing this job?

Thanks in advance.

It should be possible, I've seen power window kits for CRX's on eBay.. Maybe they have one for your car?

if you got the cash, go to www.autoloc.com they have a kit to add power windows to doors that didn't originally come with them. Other than that, hitting a junkyard and gutting a civic that has them as an option would work too, but you might have to add brackets and what not.

i have done it twice, once with a buddy and once with my brother, easier then most ppl think. u need the power regulators both sides, switches, under dash harness plug and relay. u only need to run wires from the driver side switch to the fuse box and to the passenger door. it would make install easier if u remove the fender to run the wire thru the doors like oem and to have the ex or si door panels as well so the switches fit in like stock.
