i have a 97 civic soch non vtec ,and have been making a few mods , it's been slow , you know , don't make much money ,but got a few things done , like :
drilled ft rotors ( painted blue)
front strut bar (from ebay -generic)
eurolite carbon fiber gauges
obx iridiun spark plugs
obx mufler
carbon fiber tail lights
black housing headlights

and i'm realy into civics and all that , but don't know much about engine , what i can do to make better , what certain things are for , where should i start , i have all kinds of questions , and i guess there is a lot people out there who have the same questions , so i would like to get some ideas like " what to do first , some diy would be awsome ,what to do last , things like that , i guess with this , i'll help not only me but a lot of people out there who have the same type of questions , and i'll be very thakfull for that!

 

well you could save up and go hybrid. honda has such a wide variety of dohc motors. and if you're considering setting up your sohc, you're not going to be very quick unless you go boost. and if you do go boost, it's going to cost just as much to go hybrid. so it's kinda a catch 22. im not going to be much help, i'll tell ya that. but you would probably want to start with your typical bolt on's. ya know exhaust, intake etc. after that basicly start setting up the head and block and fuel system. and poof! you're done.

 

see i realy don't know much , well i'm brazilian , so sometimes i realy get lost in names like : "what do you mean hybrid"? a dohc vtec is a hibryd engine ? the thing is , i'm not looking for hundreds of HP , i just want a cool car to drive , a litlle faster , how much do you think i can get with a d16 ? 150?170? just with bolt ons , ignition , sparkplugs, headers , i've got the intakes,fuel injectors,pressure regulator did i forget anything ?
