thats all on you but i would go with just the clear or none at all

 

Does anyone have pics of Red Clear tail lights with the clear part smoked? And pics of the whole tail light smoked? Post all pics.

 

I have seen the whole taillight tinted BLACK, just enough that light easily shown through. It looked OK, looked just like the plastic blackouts except shinier. Now, lightly tinting the clear portion of the taillights looks very good. I'm too lazy to search for pics right now.

I ordered the Paint I should have it by tomorrow. I will be tinting the taillights Friday or Saturday. I will post pics as soon as the project is complete.

 

Is one can going to be enough for both taillights?

 

I think so, if you are only tinting it a little. Sorry so vague...

 

Will one can make it look like the taillights in the pictures you posted?

 

In the post it states that the really dark tinted ones were only 3 coats. Easily one can. One good coat should be enough for a lighter tint. Don't forget to get some clearcoat if you want it to look glossy.

 

if u do the whole tail lights the red comes out kinda weird at night

 

it might be illegal to do the whole red part depending on where u live at
