Default 90 civic dx starting problem

my 200,000+ dx is have this odd intermitent problem where every once in a while after it has been driven somewhere it will not start. the engine turns over and trys it's darndest but nothing. i'll wait 10-15 min and viola it starts right up no prolem. I know the car is old but it's never given me any real problems. Hopefully someone out there knows what the problem is so i can fix it and continue my beater driving ways.

thanks in advance!

when was the last time that you had the plugs, plug wires, cap & rotor changed?

if it is not those items above, when you turn your key to the on position before you start you car, do you hear your fuel pump?

Fuel Filter. It needs to be changed every 2 yrs. or 24k miles...which ever comes first.

Aha!

i'll check the fuel pump in the morning. I need to change the fuel filter anyways so that'll be a no-brainer.
thanks for the Info!
