will any brand of the wrinkle paint come out the same? i couldnt find the VHT brand...i found Krylon instead...i tested the paint to see how the wrinkle looks...it doesnt look like the surface on the b series motors. i guess they called it wrinkle for a reason...hahaa i looks like wrinkles...anyways, ill put it on and see if it looks good...i couldnt tell from the pics you guys posted.

my valve cover turned out pretty good. actually looks just like the paint on the b series covers. i guess the krylon brand wrinkle paint was a high temp paint, because it doesnt say on the can. paint still looks fine after a week of driving in the 100 degree weather. the vaseline didnt work...i still had to sand the paint off the letters. but anyways i took a picture with my camera phone, so sorry...picture quality sucks.

High temp engine enamel. $7 a can at the local auto parts store. I sand blasted the valve cover, masked off all the areas I didn't want paint to be, and applied about 10 LIGHT coats.

It's been about 8 months, and the heat hasn't got to it. The side by the timing cover is scratched off though. I was replacing a belt, and had to move the power steering pump, and the valve cover was the only thing is would rest on.
