Default What kind of plaster?

Dont bodyshops use some kind plaster to fill in the gaps on bodykits? Im pretty sure they do, and im just wondering what they use. Does anyone know the name?

Plaster, that's funny :chuckles:, sorry.

It's called body filler, and the most popular brand name for the stuff is "Bondo".

i was watching a show and they said plaster... i know how to use bondo.

this stuff wasnt bondo...i wish i didnt use the bathroom when they were explaining everything they were using on the show...damn it

Sorry then, never heard of a plaster for body work or kits. Maybe it's what a certain manufacturer calls it's filler.

It could've been a regular plaster that's used for household applications, but I wouldn't think that that would not work because once it got wet it would fall apart. It would have to be something that's waterproof when it's dry.

Not much help from me then...:dunno:

they have fiberglass and carbon fiber resin for molding your own shit...

yeah, definetly not resin. I'm pretty sure it was Bondo. Bondo is pretty much another name for automotive plaster.

heh...... i think i know what your talkign about because i saw the show... it was an expanding epoxy foam thing they used in a wide body kit to fill in the hollowness....
