Default Rebuilding/remodeling rusted exhaust?

So i'm prolly g onna buy this hks exhaust, the hinges are rusted, and the out side of the exhaust doesnt look too good so im prolly gonna rebuild it or remodel it, sand it down n crap, spray some anti rust stuff on it? ANy ideas? THanks

i don't think thats a good idea....but if you want to waste your money/time, go right ahead.

Hindges are rusted.. everything else is fine, how is that a waste of money?

i think he's just saying that isn't a DIY project he would undertake. and i agree. do you have pictures of the exhaust? cuz maybe it really isn't worth all your hard work and time

do you mean hangers? The things that are welded to the exhaust? How bad is the rust? How much are you going to pay for the exhaust? Are all of the hangers bad? Is this a full exhaust or just the muffler or what?

ahh idk man.. you better find a place to get a new pipe quick.. here check out what happened to me monday...what a great way to start the week that was.
but i got 2.25" custom pipes with an es oval style muffler $250 and 2.5 hours later

muffler tape is my supra's best friend 13 year old stock exhaust is gonna b a little rusty....
