wow, i actually think that looks really nice.. deffinitly adds a nice little touch. i don't think the cops would have any problems with that either.

i actualy did something similar to it, but instead of painting the clear plastic a dif colour, i just simply replaced the bulbs with coloured oned... something less perminent and colour can be changed or removed if need be. i currently have green bulbs, they arn't as bright as the white ones but have a good effect to ad to my green neon colour scheme... i have not personaly had any problems with it thus far so all is good... i will post pics later...

i use to have blue bulbs on my rear license plate on my stock bumper and i got pulled over because they cop just thought my license plate lights burnt out... Plus i had blue reverse in at the time and it took so long getting out of their without reversing infront of the cop. A few weeks later cops waited at my college apartment parking lot and waited for me to reverse then busted me a ticket there.. So i don't use blue bulbs anymore except for my interior dome light.
