i was wondering if anyone has ever taken redand clear tail lights and painted the top section amber, so instead of having the reflector in the center like the stock one, its entirely amber. if so, any pics??

 

uh.. i dont follow..... if you painted the clear part on the red/clear lights amber........... wouldnt that turn out just like a stock one?

 

if you painted the top-you would have amber/clears-not red/amber... the red is ontop, clears on the bottom

even though the more i think about it..... i dont know what reflector in the center hes talking about? unless its the back up reflector thingy with the amber surounding the white in the 2/4 doors

 

ok. clear on top red on bottom, 95 civic. paint the top part amber. so now UNLIKE STOCK there is no white reflector in the center. d-o-e-s e-v-e-r-y-o-n-e f-o-l-l-o-w

 

I follow, but why not just paint the clear (reverse light lens, not reflector) on your stock tails?

 

yeah... i follow you now, i was thinking your brake lights... not your reverse lights..... uh... well... if you candy coat them all orange.... then your reverse lights will glow orange.. which is illegal if a cop sees you.... so.... if your going for amber all the way across from your brake lights to the reverse lights.... that would work.....

 

Kinda liek teh ALL reds the back up light is red which is illegal.
