Default Cheap *ghetto* white face guages

Last night I got bored, and tried to post a DIY but my internet went bonkers right as I hit submit. So here's a shortened version until I get home

For this project, you need...
* Guage Cluster
* Screw Driver
* Plyers
* Scanner
* Printer
* Boredom

Fire I grabbed the old guage cluster from my closet, you might want to remove yours from your car. Remember to disconnect the battery whenever you work behind the dash. Always a rule of thumb.
I took the guage cluster apart, 4 screws hold the speedometer pod on, 3 screws hold the other two. Once I got the whole speedometer pod in my hand, I took a pair of plyers and gently pulled the needle off. After that I removed the two screws that held the mechanical's to the guage face. There is a little pin that the needle rests on when your not moving, pull that real gently with the pair of plyers till it pops out. You'll probably have to look all over your room for it, it flew about 6 feet when it came out of mine.
I placed the guage face on the scanner, and scanned it into adobe photoshop. From there I got creative. I inverted the colors, selected the yellow part (inverted blue) and made it blue. I selected the off white area with the magic wand and used the "lighten" mode to make the area more white. Print that out after your happy with the product, and it should print the same size. Cut out the printed part.. and cut the holes in it. Dont forget the odometer/trip meters, and all the rest of the holes. Place it over the guage face, and screw the mechanicals back on... screw the holes THROUGH the paper. Put the needle back on exactly how you took it off. Put the whole pod back into the cluster. Repeat these steps with the other pods. Once your finished snap the black trim around the clusters back on. This holds it all on. After your finished it should look something like this...

Disclaimer: If you mess up your guage cluster its not my fault

Have fun for all you people that cant afford white face guages...

why don't you include a template for those who do not have scanners?
