before:
after:
time: ~4.5 hours. drats. I didn't finish it in time to watch Oprah.
It was pretty swirled. I wish I got an "after" picture with the flash because it was definitely a huge improvement, but i didn't. I only have a before, and I won't post a before shot if i don't have a similar after. That would be baaaaaaaaaad of me.
oh and shameless shots of my car:

Here's a couple of my wash/wax last week. Didn't do a full detail, just exterior detailing.

I think this detailing job turned out pretty nice. All I did this time was a regular wash + turtle wax it. I think the next nice day, maybe tomorrow, I will do a complete detail.

This is my 1992 Honda Accord EX. I gave this car a show quality total repaint in original Seattle Silver (YR97M-3). I detailed the interior using a process I invented that takes interior detailing to the next level. Even the original new Honda smell was restored to this car! Here's how I made it shine:
Car was prepped, painted and cleared. Clear is Omni MC260 quick clear.
48 hours later the car was:
Wet sanded with 1000 grit until 80% of the orange peel was removed.
Wet sanded with 1500 grit until 95% of the orange peel was removed.
Wet sanded with 2000 grit until smooth and all 1500 grit scratches removed.
Buffing was done with a soft lambswool pad on all stages
First stage: Car was buffed with 3M "Finish It" medium-duty buffing compound, then water was sprayed on the surface and re-buffed. Then, more Finish It was applied, rebuffed, then water was applied again and re-buffed. Total steps: 4
Second stage: Car was buffed with 3M "Finesse It" light duty buffing compound in the same manner as the first stage.
That means this car was buffed 8 times. Took 4 days total sand to shine.
Third stage: Car was waxed 45 days later with Mother's California Gold paste wax, on and off by hand, Daniel-son, with a microfiber cloth, two coats.
Interior detailing took 3 days.
If you look at this car under flourescent lights, there are no scratches or swirl marks.
This is my second total repaint after a 12 year absence from the painting scene. WHAT DO YOU THINK FOLKS?? Let me know!!

well I have posted these pics before but here they are again.

wash with Sundance Car wash,
waxed with Turtle Wax endurance. Rims polished with Mothers Wheel paste, Tires gelled with Maguires Endurance. Interior carpets and seats vacuumed, and dash treated with Armour All.
All glass cleaned with Gunk foaming window cleaner (great stuff leaves no streaks)
