Default may be picking up another rex

a friend of mine who works over at merill lynch emailed me yesterday and said his 91 crx si dropped a valve into the cylinder and killed the engine, and was wondering how much itd be to put a new engine in. shop told him 2000 dollars which i laughed at, and i offered to put in a zc for 1600 or an si for 1000, i think he believes even these prices are too much so i am now considering just buying the frame from him, hopefully i can get it at a reasonable price, and since my zc tranny just blew itd be great to just swap over his si tranny and put a new engine into the car at a later time, b16 is still on the stand and nowhere near completion, so more than likely the si would sit in the garage for a while, buy hey nothing wrong with having another crx. then i could have my turbo zc and my n/a high rev b16. humm... possibilites.... opportunities....

Sounds good..I just don't get where he got a price of 2000 and you dropped it in half and he still didn't jump all over it.

ehh most people dont understand the potential of a crx and see it as a 12-15 year old civic with a stubby back end. hopefully i'll be able to take it for around 500 dollars but i havent gotten a price yet
