I have a 88 crx si, stock 1.6 SOHC. I know dis would probably be a pain in the ass but would I be able to put the SOHC VTEC head on my stock block. I know the wiring would be different but would it be worth it? It might add some top end speed but should I really hassle wit it? I need some opinions fellas. Thanks a lot.

 

It's been done before. Putting a d16z6 or y8 head on your d16a6 block would be called a Mini-me swap. Basically thats pretty much all you do but it's a bit more complicated than that. I've been contemplating whether not I should do this and thought it really isn't worth it. You rather just swap the d16z6 or y8 engine in.

 

just spend the extra money and swap a z6 or y8 in yourself.......if would be well worth it.
