The EACV (Electronic Air Contol Valve) is an important part. Don't drive with it disconnected, it may stall or do other funny things that you won't like. It is the main idle controling valve in the car, and adjusts itself depending on engine load and whatnot.

The car will also probably throw a code 14 when it is disconnected.
yeah its throwing a code for not having it hooked up... now i cant belive that 150 for a used one...??... hmmm... ohh well guess tahts whats its gonna take..

now i have another problem i went to replace the brake pades and rotors only to find the 2 screws holding the rotor on where stripped out

Go to the junkyard and get a new EACV. Shit I just stuck one in my bag and walked out with it.

I said under $150, not for $150

If a yard charges you $150 for an EACV, they have a serious stick up their ass.

An impact driver won't get it off?

If one is totally stripped, the only option you have is to drill out the screw and try to preserve the threads.
