Default front clip swaps

Its been a while since ive been in here but those damn crxs are calling my name again Im picking up a front clip (everything up to the dash) and was thinking about converting my rex to rhd since ill have all the parts. Does anyone know what extra has to be done to the chassi to prep it for the conversion?
Thanks,
John

I believe you will have to cut out the fire wall and weld the JDM one in. That alone makes it too much work. Plus RHD is useless unless your making it into a JDM mail truck.

Thanks,

its gonna be a LOT of work man.. cause youre gonna have to make sure the posts for the windshields are straight and stuff. and you will have to make sure your floors are supported enough as well I was thinking about doing the JDM glass roof, and it was gonna involve the same amount of work, cause would have to cut all the posts for windshield, windows/doors, etc. after much thought.. it was gonna be too much work and money that i dont already have :happysad:

the other thing you have to make sure of is stress points. every car is designed to have stress points to fold up in an accident, and if you reweld stuff, you have to make sure you dont make the car TOO STRONG. if the car is too strong, the energy from an impact will not get transferred the way the engineers wanted it to, and that could be bad news for passengers/drivers. If you have the funds, go for it, but talk to a good body shop about all of this before you start cutting stuff up.

good luck man
