The wiring harness sees more abuse driving down the road in the rain than it would from cleaning supplies and a hose.

As for the spark plug holes, your plug wires should handle that, and the alternator, just don't spray it directly and you should be fine.

i actually used "simple Green" spray, water, a rag to wipe, and a rag to re wipe....and then wax what a could...

and then some wet & black on some of the shit i could...
