i was reading on the ZCR about how EX headers work wonderfully on a zc? what year exactly should i be looking for, im now thinking itd be alot cheaper than to try to use a civic ex header on the zc than to limp it on the hf header and downpipe or spend a whole lot of money having a custom downpipe created off the 421 zc header. but i need to know what year to pull from when i go to the junkyard, TIA

 

The EX one is probably the same as the Si one. All of which need to be port matched to the ZC.

 

i dont have any problems with porting it all to match but do u know what year ex would be good to pull the headers from? OR would the downpipe of an ex or other car match up to the zc header without much difficulty?

 

Its a good idea to just use a 88-91 Header. However my Chikara box said that 88-95 Civic and 96-98 Non-EX headers were all the same.

 

I think the 92-95 EX/si header will fit perfectly after you port match. That's the one I would go w/.

Did your ZC not come w/a header/downpipe?? If it did, keep that, it's the best option.

 

it came with the ZC header but no downpipe and im gonna have to have the downpipe made unless there is another compatable downpipe other option is getting different headers but id rather not if something is compatable to the zc header as far as a downpipe goes, right now im running it with my hf manifold which is way too restrictive for the top end (unless i decide to go turbo) which is another story.
