getting a swap here soon
which engine should i get? b16a or b18c? can i slap a turbo on either? i already know the price diff and all that means to me is how long it'll be before i get a swap(gotta get the cheeze), and i know that the b18c has more hp and torque but will the engine with a turbo hold out as long as the b16a? longer than the b16a? and what other aspects am i looking at between the two? o yeah... i have a 90 crx si.:dunno: :thinking:
If it is an option, B18C(GS-R), no question. It displaces more. Both can take a low boost turbo without modifications, however it would be a very good idea to give them low compression pistons before you think about a turbo.
The B18C (GS-R) also comes with a funky variable intake manifold that you should probably ditch before installing. A Skunk2 manifold would be the replacement of choice.

When I say "(GS-R)" I mean I am talking about the SiR-G model B18C, not the Type-R model B18C just to make sure everyone is talking about the same engine.:thumbup:

Better head design, better r/s ratio....
both are great engines, but both are really high compression also, so you would want to decrease the compression b4 throwing boost at it, the b18c is a great n'a engine also, just choose something that will suit ur needs.
