Default Stage 3 clutch

So, apparently I have a stage 3 racing clutch in my 90' rex :naughty: . What exactly does that do for me other than make it harder to shift?

Ya'll are probably like "What in the hell? This kids a trip." Followed by, "This kid says "ya'll" and he's from NY?"

Just means the clutch should be capable of holding more power than the stock clutch, by about 30-50%.

yah means the disc will stay engaged under a greater torque load, what it means to u is that hopefully itll last longer and itll stick if u drop the clutch at a launch. shouldnt make it harder to shift at all though

thats probably a bushing issue, check out the connection at the bottom of ur shifter connecting it to the shift linkage and see if the connection is worn out

Comes with OEM... you could call it a Stage 0 if you want. A stage 1 clutch is an upgrade for more power handling and light race use. Stage 3 is overkill for street, and you probably won't have enough power to need it... that's cool though

Yeah, I feel like there's just too much power there in the first 2 gears. Way more than there needs to be. But what's cool is, I feel a power change in every gear.

Well, a noticeable one, because usually when u switch from like 4th to 5th it's not all that much

a stage 3 clutch will allow u to drop the clutch and have ur car peel out right away because the tranny engages the flywheel alot harder, with a oem clutch if u drop the clutch u may peel out u may just notice a slower gain of speed as the clutch takes its time completely locking up.

IS it harder to shift or harder to push in the pedal. My pedal was hard as hell to push turned out the clutch cable was going bad changed it and it was smooth and light again. Check you tranny fluid if you having any grinding problems. After doing the clutch cable and fluid on the wagon its been shifting like a new car.
