Default which transmission for a 88 crx with B18C1

Hi,
This car is completely stripped. I am starting from zero.
The engine is going to be a B18C1.
What kind of transmission is the best setup for pure drag racing? Hydraulic or cable? And what modifications do I have to make to make it into a hydraulic setup instead of originally equiped crx with cable?

Thanks,

Sven

Stick with the cable transaxles, there is really no bother converting your car over to a hydro unless you really, really want one of the hydro transaxles.

for using the b18c motor id go with a j1 tranny (close gear ratios) that came with the b16 and try to get lsd for ur drag racing to maintain traction, maybe someone else has the transmission gear ratios for u to check out, no need to go with a hydro tranny unless u want to go thru the trouble of finding places to fit in all the cylinders that are associated with it, but then ur adding weight to the car (this is a No-No) any b series tranny will work but ur gonna be limited on what has the cable tranny setup. good luck
