Default My Car : Before Transformation (with pics)

Hey all. I finally got some pics of the car that I am going to fix up this summer posted up. It is a 1990 CRX Si. I bought it for 1000 in a lien sale from some junkyard/dealership. We took the stock engine stuff out and through in a d16y8 engine in there, with some other later generation Civic stuff. Right now it is pretty bare bones everywhere else but I've got 4000 worth of stuff in the mail. Anyway, here are the pics :

Right now I am waiting for all my stuff in the mail. As I wait I am just cleaning it as good as possible. I will probably sand and then primer it too since the person that did it before used many different colors of primer.

well looks like a good base to start from sounds like uve got ur work cut out for you with the amount of stuff uve got coming soon, id say cut out the wet kit and go with direct port, same price for the kit and only thing u have to do extra is drill and tap ur intake manifold for the fogger system to be installed.

there is a lot of crappy ricers there. most of those cars are all show and no go though. my car isn't going to be like that at all.
in order for it to fit my personality, the car is going to need a little flash, so the body kit stays (r-33 skyline is low profile anyways). as far as the lights, am getting jdm tails ASAP for the back though. My car is not going to be some fast and the furious wanna be car like most of the people in redding.

well, i have been saving for quite some time. i am spending enough money to get a newer car, but i like the crx so much that i would rather just have it and make it like new. i'll be posting pics of what's going on with it on a weekly basis. i just put in the neuspeed shortshifter, whatever comes in the mail next is what i will be doing.
