Help removing civic badge
Hey guys. I used a piece of fishing line to saw the adhesive between the badge and the paint, but what kind of solvent is going to take off the rest of that adhesive without damaging the paint? I also am trying to figure out if it's worth trying to remove the stock H badge from the trunk to paint it? Thanks, guys.
id use dish soap and a slightly abrasive sponge but nothing like brillo or nething just a regular green plastic sponge, and lots of elbow grease. dont use any harsh cleaners to avoid messing up ur paint

Ok, if you have not done it yet.the BEST thing to use is lighter fluid. it will also help remove pin stripes but after ward you need to was the spot with car wash soap realy well, EXPECIALY if your goign to paint it. The lighter fluid wont hurt the original paint so if you dont wash it well, it will still be ok.
Also for futuer referance. I dont know how you removed the badge, but a good strong fishing line or nylonbe thread works well to cut the badge from the car, then you remove the glue/tape whatever.
Good luck.

Goo-Gone works from what I hear.
When I did the trim badge on my '95 I just used my finger & rubbed it on the residue until it came off, I then spot-washed it & voila... no ghosting or anything...
